To The Last Extremity: Revolutionary War Charleston, SC – November 10-12, 2023
Join Emerging Revolutionary War historians and authors on a two day bus tour covering the sites related to Revolutionary War Charleston. Considered one of the most beautiful and historic cities in America, Charleston has a deep connection to the War for Independence. We will explore sites related to the 1776 Battle of Sullivan’s Island, the British invasion of 1779 and the 1780 Siege of Charleston. We will also visit the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the war at Eutaw Springs. Emerging Revolutionary War will bring these stories to life and take you to the places where these amazing events transpired. An exciting, fun, and historic experience learning about one of the most often overlooked places for Revolutionary War history. The tour will be led by ERW historians Rob Orrison and Mark Maloy, author of the forthcoming book on Revolutionary War Charleston: “To the Last Extremity: The Battles for Charleston, 1776-1780.”
